NEW IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENT

The SC Department of Health and Environmental Control recently added an additional

Tdap immunization requirement for 7th grade.  All students entering 7th grade in 2013

and beyond must receive or have already received a dose of the Tdap vaccine after the

age of  7.

The school will need a new South Carolina Certificate of Immunization showing the

student has received this newly required Tdap vaccine for school attendance. The new

certificate can be turned into the front office at LBC.

Please do not wait. Avoid the rush by making an appointment with your child’s

healthcare provider today to get the required Tdap vaccine and any other vaccines

recommended for your child’s protection.

Thank you,

Doris Brenneman, RN
School Nurse
